'PebbleLane sprung from a single dream: to share real Neapolitan pizza in London. The Romano family, our founders since 1985, launched our pizzeria as a quaint, family-operated spot with recipes passed down across several generations.
Luca Romano, our originator, mastered the craft of pizza creation during her Italian sojourn, learning from Neapolitan pizza virtuosos. When she returned to the UK, she aimed to replicate the enchantment of genuine Italian pizza, honoring age-old techniques and selecting only top-tier ingredients.
Our humble pizzeria, originally with just 12 seats, has expanded into a cherished neighborhood fixture while our dedication to excellence and authenticity has remained constant. We still use age-old wood-fired ovens, prepare our dough from scratch every single day, and seek out the finest ingredients for our pizzas.
Today, 'PebbleLane is still steered by the Romano lineage, with a second-generation taking the helm of our devoted team. Despite adopting a few innovations, our core mission persists: to serve delectable, real pizza that unites people.
